TOP 10 TIPS for JUICY AGEING

Image
It IS possible to grow older without losing your sparkle ! Though I have previously posted 5 tips to juicy ageing, I have updated them.  Yes, they're now 10, and here they are ! Tune into your HEART daily and CONNECT with your loved ones regularly. Heal any wounds that may still be festering. This is healing for your heart, emotionally and physically. At least once a day whether its via phone or in person, actually have a conversation, or connect via the internet or FB. Feeling lonely can lead to depression. Never stop LEARNING - a language or new leisure activity. Challenge your beliefs or ways of doing something. Research suggests that people who do this, stay mentally alert. My mother did cryptic crosswords all through her 3rd chapter and could even remember her ATM pin the night before she died at 95 years! LOVE your life NOW, and remember to feel the JOY (Joy increases your level of DHEA and has been studied by longevity researcher, Ellen Langer ). Make...

Embodying the Divine Feminine

Image
I feel as if I have been on a 2 month retreat into my feminine soul. But I am back. To talk a little about Her - the Divine Feminine, in our lives.   Two prompts inspired this topic. I recently contributed to a blog on what it felt like to embody the Divine Feminine, and the other was a comment by my friend, Kim Gould  who expressed that my home radiated femininity! It was interesting to hear this as I was not aware of how my home affected others, as it feels so natural for me to feel and express the Divine Feminine in my surroundings. So, what does YOUR home say about the woman who lives there? Does it support your sacred feminine essence? And can you see the presence of Mother Earth from your windows? But more importantly, how do you embody or express the Divine Feminine in your life?  Or if you aren’t into the Divine Feminine, simply, how do YOU nurture your feminine soul?  It may not come as natural to you and others because of possi...

Tuning into the Heart of the Earth

As you emerge from the Solstice/Xmas period and shift into the vibration of 2014, I hope your intentions and actions are aligned with the wellbeing of our planet, and all its species. I also want to share with you how tuning into nature sustains me, and assists greatly in my emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing. Tuning into Nature’s university has much to share. Bill Mollison’s advice to us is to “learn from the book of nature”,   with trees being the “teachers of the law, and the true university is the forest”. It is also the medicine of the deep Feminine. Unfortunately, modern life has dulled much of our instinctual senses. Our field is constantly affected by cell phones, electrical currents and artificial lights, as well as working in concrete and high-rise buildings with the constant noise of engines and machinery.  Our heart, our main sense organ, is also not as receptive in these types of environments. But, there are ways to redress this imbalance, an...

Living your Dharma - following your Star

Image
Today I am posting a piece I had written months ago that I shared on another website, but thought it relevant here for our juicy years - living out our later years involved in work or activities that are in alignment with our personal vibration, presence, and values.   I had been reflecting on this topic , and at the same time, reading what others are sharing. In the Gnostic Gospel of Thomas it reads “if you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you; if you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you”.  I love the way this is expressed, the language of the past. If you find it hard to articulate what it is you want, or what path to follow - wait - it may take some time for your subconscious to bring it forth into being. We musn't look for the answer too early - any harvest has it's own way of unfolding.  Following your Star In 1996 when I first moved to the Blue Mountains, I was on ...
